Stodden came to fame by marrying actor Doug Hutchison in 2011, who at the time was 34 years older than them and they was still a minor. Their marriage led them to appear on numerous reality television programs including Couples Therapy (2012), Celebrity Big Brother (2013), The Mother/Daughter Experiment (2016), Celebs Go Dating (2017), and their own show Courtney in 2020.

Career

Stodden began in the entertainment industry by first venturing into modeling in their youth, competing in beauty pageants. In 2009, they hosted their own cable TV show produced by North Beach Community TV in Ocean Shores, California called The Courtney Stodden Show which aired 5 days a week. In 2010, they released the original songs "Car Candy," "Crazy," "Don't Put It on Me," "Hurting People," and "We Are America." Stodden's mother, Krista Keller, initially served as their manager, but Keller quit in the spring of 2015, citing "creative differences" and was later replaced by Doug Hutchison.

In June 2013, Stodden had breast augmentation surgery, upping their cup size from C to DD. They had the surgery filmed and posted to their website.[2][3]

On March 18, 2014, the video for 50 Cent's "Don't Worry About It," Stodden made a guest appearance. On August 19, 2015, Rich Kid Mafia (RKM), a Los Angeles-based entertainment company whose primary services include artist management, digital marketing and music production, signed Stodden to an exclusive international management and development deal. In 2016, Stodden made their feature film debut in the independent film Love Addict. It was announced on May 17, 2016 that Stodden and Hutchison were expecting their first child, but in July, Stodden announced that they had a miscarriage.[4]

In 2018, Stodden announced they was recording an EP and was separating from Hutchison. The two would officially divorce in March 2020. Stodden would say that the marriage failed largely due to their age difference. In 2019, Stodden signed a deal with FNL Network for a self-titled reality show which they would co-produce with Rocco Leo Gaglioti. In late 2020, Stodden was briefly attached to actor Brian Austin Green after his split from actress Megan Fox.[5]

On April 13, 2021 Stodden came out as non-binary and that their pronouns are they/them/their.[6]
