Karin is an artist comedian, singer, actress
Bloemen has played in the cabaret group Purper and has been named the Dutch diva since the La Bloemen show. She underlines this by wearing impressive dresses, designed by Jan Aarntzen. Her career began with the premiere of The son of Louis Davids.
She made six personality shows with her own La Bloemen Band, dancers, singers, or as in De Diva & De Divan with Cor Bakker. In the 2007/2008 theater season she was on stage with the Transition show, without dancers, a band or Cor Bakker.
She has been frank about her private life. She spoke in the media about her incest past, the death of her sister (giving her nephew the care), her pregnancies, her overweight and her burnout. Bloemen is married to guitarist Marnix Busstra and has two daughters (1997/1999).
In 2008, Bloemen celebrated her 25th anniversary with two shows at Carré Theater. In 2010 she was a guest at De Toppers in the Amsterdam ArenA.
