Mary Lucy Denise "Marilu" Henner (born April 6, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress, author and producer. She is best known for her roles as Elaine O'Connor Nardo in the TV series Taxi and as Ava Evans Newton in the series Evening Shade. She appeared nude in the 1983 film "The Man Who Loved Women".

Aside from acting, Henner has also shown skills as an author, penning an autobiography titled "By All Means, Keep on Moving" and 8 more books.

Henner has hyperthymesia or total recall memory; she can remember specific details of virtually every day of her life since she was a child.[1]

Henner has been married three times: To actor Frederic Forrest (1980-1982), director Robert Lieberman (1990-2001) and a former college alumni Michael Brown (2006 -). Henner has two children from her marriage to Lieberman and is stepmother to the three children Brown has from a previous relationship.
